Sunim spent his day tending to his farm on a cloudy day.

It was a cloudy and humid day with a bit of a breeze, perfect for farming.
Early in the morning, Pomnyun Sunim prayed and had his breakfast. Then, he met with his team to work on farming vegetables such as green peas, squash, lettuce, and cherry tomatoes.

In case it rained, Sunim prepared seedlings of cosmos flowers and a kind of Korean herb. He planted the herb seedlings next to the shady area of the bamboo forest.
He planted cosmos seedlings on the edge of the farm. He typically plants them on a rainy day. He said, “Even though they seem small, their seed spreads when you plant them like this.”

Sunim went to the bamboo forest and dug up bamboo shoots with a small shovel. He taught his team where to look for the bamboo shoots. They were able to fill a whole basket full of bamboo shoots.

Additionally, they worked on cherry tomatoes, squashes, cucumbers, and more.
Sunim wanted to share the lettuce with others so he picked them carefully. To maintain the freshness of the lettuce, Sunim taught his team members how to properly wash the lettuce and store it.

After having lunch, Sunim went to tend the pear and plum trees. Instead of using pesticides, he used soju (Korean alcohol) to wash off the ticks.

The team worked on cleaning the bamboo shoots. Sunim also taught them how to cook and store the bamboo shoots, just as he had when he was little.
