In spite of the frightful snowy weather nearing 32 degrees Fahrenheit in Washington D.C., Pomnyun Sunim made his way to the White House to film the “White House Online Petition Campaign” video.

After filming, Sunim went on to meet with researchers from a Think Tank research institute. They discussed the North Korea – United States summit and shared their ideas. Sunim suggested that it would be best to resolve any issues between North Korea and the United States peacefully.

Next, Sunim went to Davis House for his next meeting. Sunim met with five peace activists in the D.C. area, had lunch together, and had a free discussion. Sunim asked each one of the peace activists about their current tasks. He also asked about how people in the United States were reacting to the North Korea – United States summit. Sunim shared his film about 10,000 peace rallies in Korea.

Next, after the roundtable ended, Sunim went on to NED (National Endowment for Democracy). There, he met with a professor who initially helped with translations of English articles for North Korea Today. They discussed in detail issues such as public opinion on the North Korea – United States summit in the United States, what needs to be done to bring peace in Korea, and what organizations Sunim is donating to and providing support.
